Eosinophil-associated diseases are rare, but they represent an emerging healthcare problem around the globe. The most common of these diseases are eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EGIDs) which affect the gastrointestinal tract.
Despite the fact that there has been increased awareness of these diseases among healthcare professionals over the years, it is still common for patients to experience a long delay in getting an accurate diagnosis.
