Swiss Eosinophilic Esophagitis Cohort Study (SEECS)

The Swiss Eosinophilic Esophagitis Cohort Study (SEECS) was founded by Prof. Schoepfer in 2016 with the goal to improve standard of care of affected patients.

This observational cohort study currently follows >600 adult patients with eosinophilic esophagitis in a longitudinal way. The SEECS datacenter is located at the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine of University of Bern whereas the SEECS biobank is located at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois in Lausanne. The SEECS is a platform to promote epidemiologic and translational research and is open for all stakeholders with an interest in eosinophilic esophagitis. More than 20 scientific articles were published using data from SEECS and numerous medical master and thesis projects were realized based on SEECS data.
